Bringing this amazing local charity to a wider audience
At the heart of Wiltshire’s community, Salisbury Hospice provides critical care to 1,000 patients with life-limiting conditions every year. In common with many hospices, Salisbury Hospice Charity depends largely on local fundraising and donations, so their online presence is crucial.
I was brought in to lead content creation for the new website. This project was particularly meaningful for me, as I’ve seen first-hand the important role the hospice plays in our local community.
What I delivered
The charity’s existing site had several main issues: it was difficult to navigate and overwhelmed visitors with information. Many people had contributed to the content over the years, so the details were inconsistent and confusing. Working with the marketing team, we focused on two core objectives:
- making it easier for potential donors and fundraisers to understand and support the hospice’s work
- providing clear, accessible information for patients and their families.
The impact
We created clear and engaging content that better serves both audiences. The hospice team is delighted with the results, and most importantly, they now have a website that truly conveys the amazing work they do in Salisbury and the surrounding area.
