About the client
The Southampton Business Improvement District (BID) supports businesses in the south, promoting their services, encouraging greater investment, and working with local agencies and the police to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.
The project
I was approached by the BID to produce a mid-term review to showcase their support for businesses locally. The review was designed to provide a snapshot of the BID’s work.
Timescales were exceedingly tight as the BID had been let down by another copywriter.
The solution
My task was to get up to speed quickly on the BID’s brief and tone of voice. Following a briefing session and comprehensive research, I set to work, pulling together information from various sources and transforming it into bite-sized, engaging copy for each page. The content included lots of inspirational local stories and key facts to highlight the BID’s many successes.
I delivered the copy to very tight deadlines. The team sent thanks for completing the project to a high standard within such short timescales.
Helping the BID with their re-election campaign
Since then, I’ve been brought in to write GO! Southampton’s re-election brochure to secure a second term in office. The document was circulated to all major businesses in the Southampton area and the BID was subsequently re-elected.
